Tokyo, Japan. – November 9, 2018 – Wacom Co., Ltd. announced it will host Connected Ink Tokyo, November 30, 2018, welcoming partners from around the world to promote the wide adoption of digital stationery. Connected Ink has offered a platform for Wacom to closely partner with global industry leaders, in the development and proliferation of digital stationery, which have led to the evolution of the industry through innovative new technologies and use cases. The event aims to drive the continued growth and adoption of essential technologies, such as artificial intelligence, to realize even greater solutions and experiences for the future of pen, ink and paper.
Marking its third year, Connected Ink Tokyo continues to evolve and grow, making significant strides over previous events in areas including:
- More comprehensive coverage of wide-ranging fields including information technology, stationery, education, and artificial intelligence
- Greater global representation from multiple regions, including Japan, Asia, Europe, and the Americas
Taking advantage of the rich roster of participants, this year’s event includes keynote speakers in the morning by representatives of Wacom, followed by breakout sessions in the afternoon with speakers from a range of sponsors and partner companies.
Morning Session: New Technology Updates & Developments (by Wacom)
The morning will provide exciting updates and presentations on new developments in business, technology and market with respect to today’s digital pen, ink and paper. Wacom's President & CEO Nobu Ide will welcome guests and discuss the latest industry developments. Heidi Wang, Senior Vice President, heading Wacom’s Ink Division, will then introduce the latest version of Wacom’s digital ink technology, WILL 3.0. Sayatake Komine, Senior Vice President of Wacom’s Technology Solution Business Unit, will discuss the fast-growing interest and trends around digital stationery by traditional stationery manufacturers. Lastly, Akiyuki Kake, Senior Marketing Director of Wacom’s Technology Solution Business Unit, will reveal the PoC (Proof of Concept) of innovative digital ink application combined with the power of AI.
